TeamHockey ("the App") respects your privacy. This privacy policy describes which data stays on your device, which data is processed when you use online features, and which service providers we rely on.
Data stored on your device
TeamHockey is an offline-first app. By default the following data is stored locally on your device:
Teams and players
Matches, line-ups and coaching notes
Substitution schedules and local statistics
Clubs you add yourself
No account is required. This local data does not leave your device, except when you deliberately use one of the online features described below, such as sharing a match.
Online features and technical data
Apple Calendar: only with your permission does the App read calendar events on your device to help you create matches faster. The calendar import feature does not upload the contents of your calendar.
Club data: the App retrieves a public list of club names, countries and club colours. No information about you or your team is sent when it does so.
Analytics and diagnostics: TelemetryDeck processes a pseudonymous app or device identifier, product interactions and limited technical diagnostic data. No names, player data or match plans are sent for this purpose. TeamHockey does not use advertising tracking.
Sharing a match
When you choose to share a match plan or a live match through a link, the following data is stored temporarily with our hosting provider Supabase:
Match details (opponent, date, time, location)
Line-up (player names and positions)
Substitution schedule and coaching notes
Live match moments such as goals, cards and substitutions, together with the player names involved
The shared page is view-only. Anyone who receives the link can read it, but cannot enter or change anything.
Key points
Only on your initiative: sharing starts only when you use the share feature.
Link with an access token: anyone who receives the link can view the shared match data, so share it only with the people you intend.
Limited retention: shared matches are deleted when you delete the share yourself, and otherwise expire automatically 7 days after the date of the match — and never sooner than 7 days after you shared it. When a share expires, the associated live match moments are deleted as well.
No account required: team members do not need an account to view a shared match.
As a coach, you are responsible for having a valid legal basis for entering and sharing player data, particularly where minors are concerned.
Service providers and payments
We use only the service providers needed to offer and improve TeamHockey:
Apple handles Premium purchases through the App Store. We receive no payment details.
Supabase hosts shared matches, live match moments and the related online features.
TelemetryDeck processes privacy-friendly analytics and technical diagnostic data.
We do not sell personal data, do not use it for advertising tracking, and do not provide it to these service providers for their own marketing purposes.
Deleting your data
Deleting the App removes the locally stored TeamHockey data from your device. Data you have shared online is not removed by deleting the App; delete the share inside TeamHockey first. Shared data also expires automatically according to the retention period described above.
Your privacy rights
For questions or requests regarding access to, correction of, or deletion of data processed through online features, please contact us. Please do not include sensitive player data in your email.
